Our monthly Foodshare event at the Putnam Farmer's Market Pavilion. This vital program, run by dedicated volunteers, provides nutritious food to over 350 cars each month, including veterans, widows, and other community members.

Midwest Food Bank serves non-profit organizations such as food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and other non-profit organizations helping their community. Each month, a certain amount of time is set aside at each location for distribution. During that period, organizations can come to pick up food from a Midwest Food Bank location which they then distribute to people in their communities.
To deliver an informed and equitable response to hunger by mobilizing community partners, volunteers, and supporters. Founded in 1982, Connecticut Foodshare is a member of the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks.
Connecticut Foodshare supports individuals and families – from one end of the state to the other – by addressing root causes, creating long-term solutions, and distributing nutritious food through local partner programs in an effort to alleviate hunger.
